Video Game Memories The Final Fantasy That Wasn’t Final

In RYAN WILLIAMS For numerous of us, video games were first introduced in the late 1980s to early 1990s with the original Nintendo Entertainment System. First released in 1985, it brought on a plethora of 8- bit classics to include titles that we've come to know and love moments. Super Mario Sisters, The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Contra, and Final Fantasy. We came enthralled with not just the games themselves but the stories as well. 

 

Many games stood out to me as a youthful child further than the original Final Fantasy, which was released in Japan in 1987, and 1990 in the United States. At the time, I was only 7 times old, and I remember getting the game and incontinently being agitated about it. Everything about the game had me smelled in. The characters, the story of good versus evil, the music, magic, knights and wizards, everything! 

Numerous of these original releases have come some of the videogame’s most iconic votes and Final Fantasy is no deadbeat. With nearly 100 different Final Fantasy games to date, it stands out that there's a formula that works and a world that people enjoy visiting time and time again. Starting with the original Final Fantasy, it gave the player an easy-to-follow battle system, a story in which the player is one of the light soldiers assigned with defeating the evil knight Garland in order to save the world from chaos. We were introduced to a game that would last longer than a 5- nanosecond Super Mario Sisters session with a story that kiddies would be suitable to get into. A lot of my recollections of the game stem from basically working a mystification over the course of a period of time.

The player would have to talk to NPCs (non-playable characters) to gain information on what to do next. We didn’t have the internet at that time, so it really was all trial and error for the player. The feeling of eventually figuring out what was demanded to get to the coming step was a veritably satisfying feeling. We had to learn the basics of combat, which spells would do the most damage to a particular adversary and when to use a heal to save one of the party members. It took time to eventually get into the groove of understanding strengths and sins to succeed. The plot itself is enough straightforward but it’s the trip to get to the coming point which kept me going. It reminded me of the books I would read at the time that were heavily grounded in the realm of fantasy. It was a world so different from that of my own that I plant myself wanting to come to these characters and live in the same world as they did. 

Since the veritably first Final Fantasy game, there have been numerous that followed and each one is different from the former. The generators of the game, now series, noway saw Final Fantasy as a game that warranted an effect, rather they wanted each new trip to stand out. With each new replication, we did see little easter eggs that hearkened back to a former interpretation or indeed characters from the aged games making bijous that only the diehard Final Fantasy players would fete. Players were awarded not only a brand-new game but one that still brought a sense of familiarity in terms of the world and numerous of its dependence factors. Chocobos, moogles, potions, phoenix campo,etc. were all part of this extensively growing world that numerous players gravitated towards. 

 

The original Final Fantasy introduced me and numerous others to not only the series but also to part playing games that followed and much of the more given games of the kidney have looked at Final Fantasy as a template for success themselves. Presently still playing the Final Fantasy 7 Remake myself, the series will always hold a special place in my gaming heart, and I look forward to each and everyone that follows with that same excitement I had as a 7- time-old playing the veritably first one for the veritably first time.
